YOUTH-LED HARMONICA SEMINAR FOR KIDS AND OTHER BEGINNERS
A free seminar for beginning harmonica players of all ages is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 14 at the Sheraton Westport Chalet. Seminar leaders will be members of "Young at Harp,"the Youth Committee of SPAH (Society for Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica). Leaders will include expert players Kaleena Hutchins (17) of Melbourne, Arkansas; Julian Davis (18) of Phoenix, Arizona; and Zack Gaviria (14) of Nutley, New Jersey. They will teach beginning technique and demonstrate how the harmonica is used in playing a variety of songs and musical styles. The public is invited to attend this seminar.
